A picture showing the planed lead in the centerboard
The centerboard all faired and ready for fiber glassing as soon as I finish the other side
I made a quick and dirty scarfing jig that I attached to my work table . .. I got the idea from a web site I found and adapted for my needs.. it took me about 20 minutes to make

scarfing jig

I do not know this person and have never talked to him

I was happy with the results
I scarfed to gether two sheets of 12 mm for the bottom panel and will draft that out tomorrow and start setting up the profiles on the building jig.............
I stapled 2 halves of a door skin together and made a pattern of the bottom panel and traced it on to the 12 mm
This shows the bottom panel screwed onto the profiles
I dry fit a few pieces to finally see how every thing goes together .... the center board fit in nicely and I don't have to do much fitting at all along bottom... I did notice on mistake though ..... I put the bunk listing completely to high I must have been sniffing to much glue or something when I put those on the center case.... nothing that can't be fixed with a rabbit plane and... no body will ever know ........ I am sure I will find lots of f (!@#(!#!(  ups but after all it's a boat not a piano......  anyway it was fun to see something coming together finally................
