To day for something different I thought I would start on the center board . because I know me and I know how rocky the bottom is here in the pacific north west of Canada ,  I decided to make the board entirely from mahogany . I really didn't add up the wood required to mill out 22 pieces 0f 20mm x 60mm, and ate up pretty much all my mahogany. ....
I also did not realize how much glue this would require ..I lost count after 50 squirts...... This is going to be quite the center board. I recon it is already cost about 100.00 in wood , 40 dollars in glue and I haven't even thought about the fiberglass and epoxy  as well as the 44 lbs lead. .....oh yeah and the lifting tackle as well.
Just another picture of my shop. It sure isn't as neat and tidy as others I have seen in web pages .. I really like the space though and I like the ventilation at least in the summer.
I finished the transom . I haven't cut any holes yet for drain and the tiller... I think I will wait on that for a while

I don't have a band saw and the wood was to thick for my jigsaw  so I cut as best I could with my skill saw . I then used my smoothing plane to get to the line and rough  rasp to curve the corners .. My plan is to finish up the shaping after I grind the profile ...
I have just started grinding with my angle grinder with 40 grit on a rubber pad .. It works great for bulk wood removal .
I now finished shaping with my Makita angle grinder with the rubber pad and 50 grit sand paper. I finished with my orbital sander.... I spent several hours shaping and sanding... I think it turned out all right . I have to still locate enough lead with out stealing any from my weight belt ,fair everything and fiberglass....
