Started making the centerboard trunk. I cut out 2 pieces of 9mm ply at the same time to make them the same and the as J.W. suggests planed together to the line to get them identical
I cut and placed the mahogany spacers in there proper locations and dry fit them
I fiber glassed the inside of the center board case with a layer of 6 once and this is the stage I am at now . I have every thing I need to finish the center board now as I found a supply of weights at a local garage off people tires . I figured out the axel system for the center board and case. I will show a picture of my system if it works .........

The temporary Job I took no longer is temporary so I work on the pathfinder when I can like every one else

here is frame 6a with all the doublers on both sides in place I haven't glued or rounded of the edges yet .....This is the last frame I need to finish and as soon as I finish the centerboard assembly I can start setting up the pieces .. I am looking forward to start to see a boat !!!!!!!!!
I finally rounded up enough lead and decided to buy myself a tiger torch .. I think every man needs a tiger torch..

I decided that I would throw caution to the wind and melt and pour the lead directly into the hole cut out in the center board as apposed to pouring a cube and gluing it in.. I simply nailed  3 mm  marine ply into one side of the center board . I used bronze ring nails as I figured they will never come out.

In the picture you can see two strips of fir I nailed into the cavity against the sides to help hold the lead in place

I put  the center board over a wheel barrel in case of disaster and leveled it
I melted the lead in a borrowed cooking pot from the back of the cupboard and since she will probably  will never see this page it will be a mystery where it went ... I also borrowed her oven mitts............ they worked really well
every thing went fine . I had a little leakage but it fell into the wheel barrel and I just re- melted . the leak sealed it self .. the 3mm ply held up to the task .. I filled to the top ..... a few days later ( today) I faired it with my smoothing plane . I would have used a electric plane if I had one but manual worked fine... I coated one side with thickened epoxy and will sand and fair and work on the other side another day..............
